It was great to see so many new faces at the Talk-Up.
Now we have the following…

Auditions: Monday 14th and 21st September - 6.00pm Greenbank School

Roles

Evan Hansen - playing age 17/18

Smart, sincere, and excruciatingly self-conscious, Evan prefers to hover in the background,
a supporting player in his own life, too afraid to step forward into the spotlight
and risk ridicule or, what might be worse, no-one noticing him at all.

Jared Kleinman - playing age 17/18

Droll & sarcastic, Jared covers his own insecurities with
a well-practiced swagger and a know-it-all arrogance.

Zoe Murphy - playing age 16/17

Sensitive and sophisticated with a sharp sense of humour,
Zoe could care about the status games and popularity rites of high school.
She feels a terrible ambivalence over her brother’s death.

Alana Beck - playing age 17/18

Earnest to a fault, prone to melodrama, Alana hides a deeper loneliness
beneath an ever-present smile and an almost aggressive friendliness.

Connor Murphy - playing age 17/18

An angry, disaffected loner, Connor has been a troubled kid for as long as
anyone can remember, an enigma and a source of
endless consternation to his long-suffering parents.

Heidi Hansen - Evan’s mother - playing age 40s

Overworked and stretched too thin, Heidi loves her son fiercely but fears
they have begun to grow apart.
She is prepared to do anything to repair the damage.

Cynthia Murphy - Connor & Zoe’s mother - playing age 40s

To Evan, she seems to be the perfect mother, nurturing, available, and
willing to talk about anything.  To her own children, it’s a bit more complicated.

Larry Murphy - Connor & Zoe’s father - playing age 40s

Though often tense and taciturn, Larry shows a different face to the world,
representing for Evan the dad he always wished for:
strong, confident, and more than anything, reliable, someone to be counted on.

We are also looking to add an ensemble of around
6-8 people to portray college students

Once we have a cast, rehearsals will be on Mondays & Thursdays 7:30pm - 10pm at Greenbank School
Nearer the show dates there will be additional rehearsals on Sundays at 5pm
